Chats: Turn Your First Questions into a First Draft
Standalone chats give early thinking a home, while mentions bring Livemark into document discussions.

Not every piece of writing starts with a title and an outline. Livemark now has a Chats section for the conversation before the document: exploring an idea, working through a question, or asking for a first draft.
You can start there without manufacturing an empty document just to open the assistant. When the conversation is ready to become writing, the assistant can create a document with its initial content. The draft has somewhere to go without making the early discussion part of the document's body.
Inside a document, there is another way to involve the assistant. Mention @Livemark in a comment thread to ask about the passage under discussion. Its reply belongs to that thread, where the people already discussing the text can read it.
These are different places for different work: a chat for developing your request, and a document thread for a question the collaborators share. A mention acts with the permissions of the person asking; it does not grant extra editing authority.
Open your documents, or choose Chats in the sidebar to begin with a question.
