MCP: Your Agents, Working in the Same Documents
Connected agents can read Livemark documents, leave anchored comments, and work on the same draft.
By David Hemphill ·
Livemark now has an MCP server for working with documents from a connected AI client. Instead of exporting a draft, asking an agent to interpret it, and carrying the result back, you can give the agent access to the document where the work already lives.
The connection supports finding documents, reading an outline or section, and leaving comments anchored to the relevant passage. Write-capable connections can also make document changes. The authoring guide describes the Markdown the editor supports and how sections are addressed, so an agent has an explicit way to find its place.
A practical workflow is to ask your coding agent to read a specification before implementation, then put an unresolved question beside the requirement it concerns. That leaves a discussion the rest of the team can see, rather than a caveat buried in a private terminal transcript.
Access follows your permissions. Connecting an agent is not a way to give it documents you cannot read yourself. Check the access you authorize before asking it to work.
Open Livemark and use Connections to set up your agent.
